  1. Weso!!

As always, appreciate the blog, but not so sure how much I can Appleciate about Apple.

I mean, as an iPod/Mac/Apple TV user, I do (heart) those boys in Cupertino. However, I am a little scared of Steve Jobs and his team of ravenous lawyers that are willing to bite your head off even if you aren’t trying to take a little bite out of their Apple. Steve’s probably on his way to my house to demand a dirham for combining ‘Apple’ into ‘appreciate’!!!

Case #1 – Lawsuit against Cisco over the name iPhone. Cisco had it first. Jobs harassed Cisco’s management until they just gave up.

Case #2 – iTunes copy-protected AAC format. Thanks, Steve…I know you did this to get in with the music industry, but it was really really annoying. And when you took it off, you expected me to go back and re-buy the music I’d already purchased? No Thank you!

Case #3 – Arrogance. Dude, you guys sued sites created by fans of your products (i.e. appleinsider.com). That’s not nice at all.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I do Appleciate (I owe you 2 dirhams now) many things about Apple, most of which you’ve included on your list. However, I’d like to add a few of my own…

1 – Bad Grammar. “Think Differently” not “Think Different” – just sayin’

2 – sweet packaging. Who doesn’t get a little breathless opening one of those hot boxes??

3 – Honesty. Steve Jobs runs a tight ship and has brainwashed all of us with their brushed-aluminum awesomeness. Market share and share prices are growing almost as fast as their egos. They’re hell-bent on world domination, and they haven’t tried to hide by making their corporate motto ‘Don’t Be Evil’ like some other corporate behemoth I know.

I need to go know before the Googlematron tries to kill me.
